Christmas Door

Twas the night before Christmas....and in this house I am running behind , so before it is official Christmas I will post my decorated porch. Although I did elf's inside this year , I figured outside should be the same, just with different colors. So red and lime and white is what I chose . Starting with the door , hung with green garland and white deco mesh , I added red and lime stripe ribbon. Then loaded it with presents, snowflakes in white & lime green, big candy canes,  large bulbs, elf hats, picks and green flex tubing. The wreath is a green garland , loaded with lots of ribbon , lollipops, ornaments and two adorable elf's, Belle & Jingle.

Christmas Tablescapes

Well it is chilly here in Florida tonight, going down to 20 degrees tonight, so while I am watching The Santa Claus Movies, I figured I would share my tables capes with you. And now that your wondering ,
yes I am watching Christmas movies , it's a tradition I started long ago and even though my kids are grown , I still watch them . ( enter laugh here HO HO HO).
Our tablecloth is done in the black diamond pattern , along with red velvet  chargers, trimmed with white fur. Snow white Ralph Lauren plates , red glassware and napkins, and  silver flatware. To complete the holiday look a red and white elf hat ornament and candy cane lay on the plates. The centerpiece is made up of  white flocked picks, red and white poinsettia accented with jingle bells , a black and white bow, red sequined picks and glamour sticks, all set in a red planter.

Another look:

                                                            Closer of the plates:

Because we are not having family in this year , the formal table is set with elf frolicking with snow balls. Looks like they trying to build a snowman...

I will be back with my out door display ...so until then :

Enjoy!

Traditional Thanksgiving With A Twist

November has been a hectic month for me so I haven't had time to post.  I had time to only set up a few things. This year is I decided to put a little twist on the traditional colors everyone usually thinks of  for Thanksgiving. I added  a soft turquoise to the mix of brown, beige, orange and gold.
The mantle starts with the iron and wooden piece, on the left in front of wheat are a Indian couple. On the right is the Thanksgiving Turkey, in the front are the pumpkins. Shades of gold , orange, beige and turquoise,
are in the flowers , along with burlap bows.

                                               Over view of Mantle:

I set up two table scapes this year, the first is the formal one, where Hubbs & I will share our bounty. It starts with a brown table cloth, soft turquoise place mats, gold chargers. The plates are a soft turquoise and Royal Stafford's Turkey , cream pumpkin soup tureens, gold flatware, crystal goblets. Dinner napkins are brown and orange sheer toppers, with a beaded napkin ring. The centerpiece is a cornucopia filled with flowers, fall leaves& feathers, flanked by two gold candle holders . Pumpkins and an Indian couple nestle in the arrangement.

Closer of centerpiece:

                                          Closer of the pieces:

The other table is my kitchen, for it I started with a chocolate brown table cloth, and used cream plates, gold flat ware, short water goblets and beige napkins . The centerpiece is a floral arrangement with pumpkins , a turkey and a Pilgrim hat.

                                                    Closer of centerpiece:

The entry is fall subway art , flanked by two fall pictures. A picture of a pilgrim couple, candle holders, and orange glitter fern in the same matching color.

I want to take this time to wish you all a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Until Next Time !

Bats in my Belfry

Hello My Pretties! It's almost Halloween. Thought I'd share my entry with you .. As the title says I got bats!!
A spooky entry with bats, a crystal ball that rests in a glittered skeleton hand. A raven that sits in a creepy tree, in a cauldron. A hour glass, and a spell book and a candelabra. An eerie tree in front of a full moon that says Happy Halloween.

                   A closer look

                                             Crystal ball

The spell book I made... can you guess the movie the spell is from???

Three Sister Witches

Hello My Pretties! ..It is the Bewitching Time of Season! ... Time for us ghouls to bring out the cauldrons and brooms and getting busy making our home a little spooky! The witch theme is hot this year, everyone I know is doing witch wreaths, with hats and boots. As for me I love witches! In fact I have a picture of three witches named, Trixie, Dixie and Peach. I imagine they are sisters or really good friends, who brew up some mischievous fun!  That is the basis of my theme. I started with outside, as I am kind of running behind this year. My door starts with my black garland, adding mesh in black and orange stripe, the purple 6 inch mesh ribbon is next , then a 2 inch black mesh with metallic orange, purple and green stripe. I added lime green flex tubing, along with gold curly q's picks. On one side I added a witch hat and broom , the other a bubbling light up cauldron ( one of three I made), complete with steam and a skeleton boiling away!  Adding signs, bubbles, spell books, and potion bottles that have the three witches sister own labels on them are also put on. The wreath is a highly glittered  gold twig wreath, that has a big two ribbon bow with a Happy Halloween sign in orange.

                                                         Closer of wreath:

On one side of my porch I set three brooms which I  made last year next to a chair, then I threw a witch cape over it with a hat on the back. In the seat I set a pair of vintage Victorian boots with a little sign about Halloween. Next to the chair is a monster in a box, all chained up so he can't escape. Above him is a sign that states this is a witch house.

On the other side is a large spooky tree , with signs of the three sisters names and two cute bats . Under the tree is another monster in a box, also chained up , sitting next to it is a lantern and a Cinderella pumpkin.

And a over all view:

There is more outside that I will share . So whether your a good witch or a bad witch...

Enjoy,

Note: all signs, tree, cauldrons, decor on garland were handmade by me.

Easy Fall Decor

Today is the last entry in the It's Fall Y'all Link Party.
Sarah from Thirty Decor Chick is hosting Easy Fall Decor.
So easy and simple it is gonna be. I have not yet posted my transformation of the buffet I redid with tin foil but the top decor is what I am showing you today.
I took 3 candle holders I got at a yard sale for a $1.00, repainted them to match the buffet, added three pumpkin colored candles to sit in one corner.

For the middle I took subway art in shades of black and grey , highlighted certain things in orange.

At the other end is a simple orange vase with a orange glittery fern and grass pick.  A glitter green twine ball peeks out underneath for a pop of a different color.
It had to say fall while matching my buffet .

And the over all look:

                                                   And closer:

I hope you stop by and take a look at the entries.

Fall-lious Mantle

Dear Autumn,

I love your beautiful colors, the heavenly smells of apple & cinnamon and pumpkin. The carmel apples, candy corn, bowls of soups and chili. The cool crisp days and nights. Wait STOP!
Of course I forgot I live in Florida! No cool crisp days and nights ! Darn It!,  at least not until November.. Ok.. I can dream.. but onto my fall mantle. I can pretend to have beautiful fall colors, like the leaves that are trailing down the side of my wood and iron centerpiece. Among those leaves are flowers in a warm shade of pumpkin, green, pine cones, feathers in zebra stripe lime green & orange, and a jute ribbon runs through out. Subway art,  a gorgeous owl, pumpkins and a large initial , completes the look on top. Underneath grapevine garland is mount to finish my fall-ish look.!!
Now if I could just get the weather to cooperate and cool off....
