Valentines Mantle Decor......

Happy Valentine's Day......I finally got my mantle done so I can link up to Beth's Mantle Party over at http://www.thestoriesofa2z.com/ so after making the wreaths that I saw at http://lastingmemories.typepad.com/., and hung them up next to my wedding picture ( very romantic, was married in a castle). I got my jars out filled them with rose scented popuri,on each end of the mantle, added 2 sachets that have roses and ribbons tie to them. My favorite Frog Prince and his Kitten, a Be Mine sign,some white net for added zing, some ribbon curls. The garland I made from glittered chipboard and wooden hearts, added bows on each end and done.I think it speaks romance, and love , which is very Valentine-ish!!
Below I had a mini park beach, that usually holds Pierre' ,( my little boy doll that sucks his thumb). I put a large glittered heart , in front of that heart, a wrought iron heart with beads, various heart pillows and 2 wodden hearts and two more glittered hearts hung fron pink ribbons. That completes my mantle area, so what do you think???

 I just love it....so there.....OH BUT WAIT ....there's more ...just have not finished it all, but here's a peak at my .....giggle...giggle..tea pot......Stay Tuned for more.............

Decorating for My Hubbys Birthday

I decorated the mantle for hubbs birthday that is this Friday, I took my stash of birthday plates, one big and two small ,  ( TJ MAX, ) and made some frames that came from there too $2.00, add some teal color to them, and printed some birthday subway art and a birthday boy graphic , ( free) add some dollar store ballon holders  and some beads to my jars along with some curling ribbon. Also added some tulle in light and dark teal, some polka dot bows. I know, I know, it's a litlle fru fru for him but oh well it's cute and he laughed , so it's good. That's my mantle all done up for a birthday! Next I took a party hat that was 2.00 and added some swirls ( my scrapbook stash) and some gems , and put it on top of a flower holder from years ago , on top of the cake plate , along with some tulle and curling ribbon. Added another plate and ice cream bowl to the mix and beads to my small jars, for my bar decor. The table I put the cake that's really a cookie jar ( Cute huh?) on a white polka dot cake plate , and white plates and more birthday plates and tulle around the napkins, added glasses and now we have a special tablescape for his birthday.....perfect for celebrating!!!!
