Fall Decor

 Happy Fall!!!
I wanted to share my fall mantle with you. Using some of the things I had already up. I introduced teal into my decor when I moved in. Using that along with orange and cream and fall leaves and of course nothing says fall like pumpkins! A little vinyl saying adds a cute touch. So here is what I created :

I also made this cute little arrangement for a kitchen island :

Fall Splendor

Fall is fnally here!! Yes!! I love fall and the reason cooler weather! I am not a fan of summer , as the heat and I are not friends. So now that the temperature has dropped just a little I decided to decorate my porch. Actually this is my first Fall in this house so I am excited to get to decorate. My fall door consists of a green Christmas garland, 2 fall leaves garlands, grapevine, raffia, various leaves and pumpkins and ribbons. The wreath has the same components. I added mums to my urn and pumpkins, and a tall lantern to the other side and a pumpkin doormat to complete the doorscape.

Hope you enoyed it. Next up is the inside of my house.

Until Next time:

Red , White & Blue

Are you ready for the fourth??? I am. I got my door décor up!!! Yay me!!! I don't think you have to buy a bunch of expensive things to make an impact for a fun holiday! I started with of all things tablecloths and made them into curtains, to frame the door , as tiebacks I used ribbons. Then I made a wreath for the door to give it impact. The lanterns and metal firecracker on one side , and flowers, star lantern and firecracker in my plant complete the look on the other side. All ready!!!

So get ready for whatever you plan on the fourth , the  beach, fireworks, bar b ques, the pool or lake fun!

Butterfly Spring Door 2014

Spring has sprung here, so I changed my door décor to butterflies. One large sparkly 3d butterfly that I made as a focal point. I added my sweet potato vine to an urn and the other side my mosquito repellant plant and a new purple plant I am trying to grow.

Mr. B. Rabbit

I have been having a few health issues so I didn't get to post my Easter décor on time. But better late than never, I always say.  My theme for the table has a  Victorian garden feel, depleting Mr. B. Rabbit sitting on his stool under a tree taking a rest from delivering eggs. Mr. B. Rabbit has antique Victorian glasses perched on his nose ad a cute little pocket watch. I started with a table runner in beige, green striped napkins. The plates are green , topped with a white salad plates adorned with purple flowers. They rest upon gold colored chargers. Crystal and green goblets are the glassware, along with gold flatware. The centerpiece I made was done on a styrofoam base , adding greenery and matching flowers , glittered eggs in champagne, gold and chocolate.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Next is my Easter Door..

Everyday Mantle

Since moving into my new house, I am taking it slow, decorating the way I want it. No big hurry so I can get the look I want. For the most part , I never post the everyday stuff, only the holiday stuff. So I decided to share my everyday mantle with you. Nothing fancy just colors and things I love. Just a fun little glimpse into my everyday...

 Until next time:

Ireland of Auld

Top of the Mornin' to Ye!!! It's the time for the Wearin' of the Green!
My St Patrick's Day decor is simple , due to my being sick this year.
I want to do something different this year , yet historically accurate.
I started with my mantle, and placed a photo of Blarney Castle , where part of the famous blarney stone is encased in the upper floor of this castle. It was built nearly 600 years ago . The I added a targe ( shield), and Shamrocks . On the other side is  kilt, and Sgain Dubh's ( small knives ), a glitter shamrock and a photo of a warrior.

My table is set for the day as well. I started with a white table cloth , laid a tartan over the it, set at an angle .Added my centerpiece that has the colors of Ireland in it. Orange & green flowers  with shamrocks that are plain and glittered along with white heather. It is set on a riser so that the Celtic cross can lean against it. Next to that is two gold candle holders with light green candles. The chargers are gold,  beautiful green plates and bowls sit on top. The flatware and crystal glass ware are trimmed in gold as well . Multicolored green napkins fan out along side . I set a plant of shamrocks in front of each plate , along with glittered shamrocks and gold coins , and strewn over table to complete my look.
