Celebrating 2012

As promised, I have more fun things I made and decorated for the New Year.Upon entering the house I have a buffet that I put a black netting over with two large silver ornaments I got years ago when I lived in Austin, Texas.
I added a subway art I got off pinterest, in a black frame.( Sorry, can't remember who to give credit for) A top hat that I added mesh, black and white feathers to. A crown and party horns and some large silver curling ribbon. It reminds me of streamers that fall at a party. Above the table is a picture of a clock ticking towards midnight, to complete the area.

Now onto my table for two in the kitchen, that I always set for Hubbs and I.
I layered a white and black sequinned cloth for the base. Silver blinged placemats and silver chargers, black and white plates. Two black and sequinned napkins with silver squared rings. Black flutes and some flutes that I glittered the bottoms of in a charcol grey. The silver urn is from my fall table decor. Inside is feathers , white and black ones, beaded silver picks, a christmas flower, crystals from the tree also. And a mesh ribbon, to finish the look. It's all set for a romantic dinner on New Years Eve.

The coffee table in my living room is set on sequinned cloth with a mercury cake plate, with a party crown, beads, horn. So simple and yet festive.

My fomal dinning room is set with a black feathered table cloth, a white christmas wreath laced with ornaments and ribbon and mesh, along with a candleabra with glittered candles.

My side table is decorated with glittered encrusted bottles and assorted drink ware , along with a ice bucket full of glittered ornaments. The baby New Year picture is from google, except it has been emblished also.

Now I would say I am ready for New Years Eve! Hope you enjoy yours!!

New Years Fun Decor

New Years is as good an excuse as any to change up my decor. So out with Christmas and in with the sparkle of New Years. I will warn you , this post contains a lot of photos. The party items in this post is all the money I spent, everything else I had. My Christmas theme was red, silver and white, so all I did was take away the red and bring in black. So starting with the mantle, I took out red and added a silver and black ribbon through out my silver mesh. Added party hats, crowns, horns, curling ribbon, black , silver, blingy ornaments, and beads, to make it fun and festive. The mirror above is from Christmas. The flower arrangements are from then too , only remixed with black fur picks that I made and black glittered snow branches, white feather picks , and crystal picks from my Christmas tree and the same glittered white roses and hydrangeas. For the center a couple of years ago I bought mirror squares, so I added glittered 2, 0, 1, 2 in three different colors of black and greys. Double stick tape makes them stay on. I should say the white garland and lights were already on the mantle. Vinyl was from a local shop. Now that the details are given, let me show the final product.

Now onto my Festive Door Decor. I put up white garland, and strung lights thru it. I added white mesh and the same black and silver ribbon as inside. A big mesh bow for the center and party decorations, hats, crowns, horns, curling ribbon and clocks that I made. Silver and black ornaments, and 2012 glasses....for a wee bit of whismsy. Also I wrapped boxes with black and white paper, Added some cardboards letters , that I cut out and glittered, And then mounted them on the boxes. Added a big silver curls that remind me of streamers that fell at midnight, and also some curling ribbon, to complete my celebration of 2012....

And a close up of the wreath. Also made of mesh, flex tubing, a bow made of the same ribbon as door and mantle. I centered a hat with white and black feathers and ribbon accents in middle, added the Happy New Years to top of hat and wired it in the middle. Added a big bow and glittered oranments.

So there it is all glamourized for the New Year...be back tomorrow with more ...
Enjoy!

Cozy Christmas Table for Two

As some of you know, I always set a table in my kitchen for Hubbs & I. It's my way of making our meals together special and pretty. Christmas is no different, I wanted a winter theme to carry from the rest of the house to in here as well. The snow white table cloth is the base, then I made two round velvet placemats, that I trimmed in white fur. Reminds me of Santa's suit. My Ralph Lauren snow white plates, came next. On top I put a red and white glittered snow flake and set them in the center of the salad plates. My silver snowflake white napkin and blingy napkin ring and silverware complete the look. The centerpiece is a crystal vase filled with snow and glittered snow ball branches, and a matching snowflake suspended over the edge of the vase. A couple of crystal glasses and the table is already for a cozy dinner for two. Que the snow and fire in the fireplace and soft Christmas music please. ( I can dream...right?)...

The second table top I am gonna share with you is my entry table, It has a snow theme as well. I made a 3-D picture of a snow branch with snow balls, mounted on gray satin in a white frame. On top of a snow blanket sits a sled with skates, a snow ball and some feather trees.

And lastly my coffee table sleigh :

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas (Porch)

My house from the outside is all dressed up and festive this year in red and white. I made a huge garland and wreath for my door, with matching swags for my lights. There is snow on my trees, along with presents, waiting to greet you as you step up on my porch. It says Welcome , It's Christmas at our house!

Husbands Says It Looks Like A Wedding Tree

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.... my tree that is. This year I decorated it in silver, white, crystals and of course bling! I put deco mesh on my tree as garland, along with feathers, beads, and some wintery feeling ornamnets. It sits upon 4 round red gift boxes, and the tree skirt is snow and deco mesh. Now I get it all set up and Hubbs, looks over at me and says it's pretty but it looks like a wedding dress...lol. I am not sure if that's an insult or not. But I think it's gorgeous.

Christmas Mantle

It's that time of year for lights, ornaments and garland to come out and be festive on our mantles, tabletops, doorways. I have changed my decor this year. I went big and grand, no minimalist here this year. I started with a theme and picked three colors to use throughout my house. I started with a mirror, as a backdrop. Then added two snow white arrangements, complete with snow and bling, two reindeers that were remixed to silver. On the mantle I put white garland, clear white lights with deco mesh in silver and red woven through, along with silver ribbon. Adding ornaments, beads, picks, and snowflakes to finish. In front I sit two nutcrackers in white, red and silver, that were also repainted and glittered. It makes a grand statement and makes my fireplace look twice as big. And I love it!
