Route 66 Birthday

The older you get the harder it is to come up with ideas for themes for birthdays. Ones that collate the age of the person with the decorations. So this year when Hubby's birthday came around , I had to think outside the box. So after looking around and doing some shopping for supplies, I think I came up with very cool idea. This is it:

Route 66 signs & boxes, vintage cars, and numbers with coordinating colors make this a very male
theme. Adding dinnerware and silverware , place mats make the table cohesive and fun. Hope this gives you all ideas for your birthday guy!

Until next time:

Happy 2014!!!

Happy New Year! Are you excited?? Ready for a fresh start?? I am! I have a new house and lots to do with getting it organized and decorated. I hope you will stay with me this year as I share all this!
But first let me share my New Years fun! I only had a short time to throw it all together .
Lets start with the table, placing a black sequined table cloth, gold chargers, solid black plates, white and gold lunch plates for a glamorous look. Crystal water goblets, black champagne flutes, gold flatware , and black napkins with a white chiffon overlay with a gold ring and curls of ribbon.
The centerpiece is white and gold gift boxes in varying sizes and designs, stacked with black dividers separating them. Beads in gold, silver, black drape over the boxes. Handmade clock faces set on either side. Topping it off with a New Years Hat. Streamers & ribbon curls are strewn over that table to finish the look.

And here is my mantle:

Thick silver garland, a sign, party horns, handmade clock faces , jars full of beads in black, white & gold. A baby new year ornament , silver disco ball ornaments. And vinyl numbers on the mirror, and sign below mantle to complete look.

My front door has black lighted garland, with gold & silver star tinsel garland, adding a top hat, and signs and gold curling ribbon. The wreath is black & gold mesh with a new years hat in the center and harlequin & gold ribbon and gold glamour rope through it.

I wish you all a great New Year! Hope it brings many blessings, good health, love, and lots of creativity!

Until Next time ::
